Over on ONTD on LJ, there was a post talking about classic movies. And this was said:

A survey suggests 58% of men and 38% of women lie about having seen classic films.

They go on to tell how to bluff your way through having not seen:

1) The Godfather
2) Taxi Driver
3) Gone with the Wind
4) It's a Wonderful Life
5) The Great Escape
6) Citizen Kane

WHY!? OMG WHY?! SEE. THESE. MOVIES.

And the COMMENTS. People having not seen these movies say things like, "And I never would. Looks so boring." People hating on The Godfather... I swear, not starting arguments was SO HARD.

Someone commented and said, "Some Like It Hot, North by Northwest, Bringing Up Baby, and The Maltese Falcon are my faves. Oh, and On The Waterfront. (Plus, you know, The Godfather.)"

I wanted to reach through the computer and hug them. :D

Okay, so... I wore my NANO shirt to radiation the other day and my radiation tech was all, 'What's that?' and I told and then said, 'Yes, I've written a couple, four, books.'

One of them, Jen, went home and GOOGLED IT. And found it on AMAZON.



And BOUGHT IT. Because her husband LIKES zombies. And vampires.

She wants me to autograph it when it comes.

... I need to get that shit offa Amazon, stat.

Lodi's mom was talking about alien abduction... and so I said something about it and Lodi said I needed to update my Facebook status.

So I did. Without thinking. And then... well... yeah.

Back in the day (04/30/2007), Lodi and I had been talking and see... Lee Adama is a ninny. He was a ninny then and he's a ninny now (except for those three minutes where his dial flipped briefly to awesomesauce - but I can't find it on YouTube so maybe it never happened? IDK). ANYWAY, it was decided that Michael Vaughn (Alias) and Lee Adama had attended the ninnery together. And thus a post was born.

A post that I couldn't post in my journal at the time because I was afraid of offending someone. ME! AFRAID OF OFFENDING SOMEONE. *cough* And now I'm about to um, do that. Mostly because I didn't know her that well and now I DO, so... yeah.

BUT THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS, ya'll have to see this post as it was originally written.

She and I ended up discussing, as we usually do, how Lee Adama and Michael Vaughn (from Battlestar Galactica and Alias, respectively) are both ninnies.

Okay, hang on a second. I must explain that Lani coined the term "ninnery" last week when she said "Get thee to a ninnery!" in the comments of Mo's journal.

Mo then responded with "That's the HEAD BOY uniform at the ninnery. The rest of them just wear this...



At which point I began to laugh so hard that I couldn't breathe. As soon as I got it under control, I happened to glance at the picture again, and the whole process started over.

For the record? The LDS church doesn't make a forceful stance on politics, ANY politics. What they do is say where the church stands and tell you to vote your conscience.

For whatever reason, Nick Bryant decided I was going to get NO SLEEP last night. And when I say no sleep? I mean that I was checking the clock every 45 minutes, sometimes less.

This man, for NO REASON I CAN FATHOM, sat in my brain (thank you so much, Teresa, go jump in a lake) and... fuckifIknow, did nothing all night long. And get this! The mun for another character was there (that Lucky chick) only SHE looked just like her PB (since I don't even know what she MIGHT look like) and it was all about his suits and shit.

His. CLOTHES.

I think he wanted to hold meaningful convos with the wife of his that lives in MY head, but HELLO, we were trying to sleep. And by GOD, I have NEVER had that happen to me before. Fake people (THAT DON'T EVEN BELONG TO ME) keeping me awake.
