So, I'm watching Legend with Kyle (he's never seen it, deprived childhood that he's had), and we're just plodding along through it and then...

Ah, Halloween.

First off, sorry to those that were expecting RP & Thangs. It has been a VERY long day.

First off, I did the whole ‘headband & eyelashes’ thing and got Jack all dressed up in his spider costume and took him to see Cher at work. It was good times, though the eyelashes were SUPER LONG OMGooduhness and drove me BONKERS, I’m just saying. Kyle dressed as a mechanic and was super badass looking.

Trick or Treating was an adventure and we got a late start because Cher wanted to drop a movie off at her old boss’ place and we got to talking and an hour and a half later... well, it was 8:15 annnnnnd yeah. It was late. So, we did it until 9 and that’s TOO late. We went home.

Once home, Kyle changed, Jack got changed, there was a little Guitar Hero going on and then I was off to my NaNo Kickoff thing.

... oh yes.

NaNo. WHAT A NIGHT.

I wore my eyelashes and headband to the Denny’s meetup since costumes were suggested. At first I was the only one, but then... I wasn’t. :D We talked, ate, colored our ducks and stuffs and laughed a bit. Then we all headed to Reid’s condo and typed and now it’s 2:15 am and I SHOULD head home, but yeah. I’m doing THIS instead. Eeesh.

I have my 1700 words for today, but I’m going to be writing LATER, too. We’ll see how this goes. I already fucked up the tense I was supposed to write in, so... eh. Sorry Lodi.

Kyle's been playing Mystic Quest on the desktop for the last two weeks, doing a great job and last night? Gets to the end. It's bedtime, he goes to bed. Aww, good for you, Kyle! :D

Cher sits down to play for a hot second and manages to accidentally delete his entire game. Aww, good for you, Cher! :D

Now, she's sitting over there playing at breakneck speed, trying to get "his" game back to where it was before. She's all, "I had things to DO today."

So, we're here. Trunk is still full. Mostly because... well, no room. And Rach's couch? SO much more comfy than Cher's. Jack's behaving and in good spirits. He's a happy baby which really? Yeah. :) Kyle was a happy baby, too. I love those kinds. About this couch though? The back? Super tall. The part your ass goes on? Um, it's so slender, I can't even sit cross legged on it. Sleeping on it? Barely can do it sideways, nevermind on my stomach. Last night, I woke up five separate times so by the time David got up at like, six? I was awake.

Kyle's in school. And by school, I mean like... this little set of cabins in the woods. It's just the most quaint thang EVAH. And by THAT I mean... it's in the woods. And everything is green: the trim is green and the colors are green and it's just... so in the woods. And all the outside signs are wood. It just... yeah. Cedar River Middle School. And then he'll go to Junior High (8-9) and then High School. So odd.

This place isn't that far from the mountains anyway. It's all woodsy and the cops all drive SUV's and shit.

SO, here we are.

... I think I'ma work at a gas station. Or the grocery store. *shrugs*

I love love LOVE taking showers at my sister's place. Why? Because she has all the fun, UBER girly stuff in her shower. If it's new on the market (and a gadget for the shower), she has it. Plus, all the best lotions, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, whatever. Also? When she messages me and says, "GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW?" It's the perfect excuse. Especially if I still don't get there until I was originally planning.

Add to that, there was no way I was driving over there on leather seats, top down on Lucy or not AFTER taking a shower. It's 91 degrees and I was GRODY. Psh. I just packed a bag and took one once I got here. THEN we went to the grocery store. YUM.

She's having a Grease party. You know, Grease is the word, and all. :D Lani's coming and Nicole is already here and Jenni's coming and Rach is not. :( Woe.

Rach & Cher SHOULD be even after this, though: Cher didn't go to Rach's birthday party and now Rach didn't go to Cher's summer blowout. Deal? Deal.

*dances off to play more Guitar Hero - which makes me think of RP and the SPN fandom*

So, we're in the car and Kyle's reading his manga and says, "Oh, that's censored." I said, "What are you reading now? More panty eating hampsters? Boy on boy love?*"

And he's laughing and says no. THEN he says, "Bisexual means they like boys and girls, lesbians are girls who like girls, gays are boys who like boys and homosexuals like homos."

I nearly drove off the road.

So, yesterday Kyle and I went and saw Hancock, went to dinner with Rach (where Rachael gave him his Pokemon board game -like Yahtzee) and picked out his video game present at the mall. Today we go see Cher. :D All in all, I think he'd say it was a pretty good birthday.

Today, though, is TARA'S birthday, so happy birthday! :D *MWAH*

Today, my boy is 12! Because the entire extended fam has to work, it's more a 'celebrate' tomorrow, but he and I are going to hang at the pool today and maybe... I don't know.

Tomorrow, Cher wants to see a movie, so yay! :D Yeah, I think last year, when we did DISNEYLAND kind of takes the cake. LOL

Nevertheless, after 52 hours of labor, here be my boy. :D

I wish, I really do, that I had taken notes on yesterday. Rachael had invited Kyle and me to this luau for the first birthday of the daughter of one of her best college friends.

Well.

A luau it was. There was SO. MUCH. FOOD. And SO. MUCH. FUN. And the hula dancers were great (and full of innuendo) and we got to have our faces painted and it was a lot of fun. Like SO MUCH FUN. :) Had a great time. SO MUCH FUN, in fact, that we called up Lani and she came down and had it, too.

After that, well. There was karaoke to be had. So, we went up to Skyway Park Bowl (omg such an old old haunt) and sho'nuff, they were just starting karaoke (in a room with a disco ball and flashing lights). For the first hour or so, we were alone and man, SO MUCH FUN. Of course, singing after Lani? NOT SO MUCH FUN. Because, well, she's got the serious chops to be a singer, so... yeah. Anyway, then it started to fill up and the wait got WAY long and then it wasn't as much fun.

Racahel saw a cop who looked like David Tennant, I saw a guy that I'd known since I was 15 and had WORKED at said bowling alley (which I've done three times, actually), and Lani.... well.... SHAKIRA not only kept getting hit on, but some guy claiming to be a teacher at Seattle Prep thought she might have been one of his students (which even HE said would have been bad) and then proceeded to tell her he was going to marry her.

SO MUCH FUN.

Also: Kyle, for his face-painting, got the mark of the devil. He swears it's from some ZELDA thing and that they're swirls, but um... they looked like fancy 6's on his face.

Also Also: You should have SEEN Rach and Lani do this duet from Rent. It. was. INCREDIBLE. Seriously, they did it right as people started to get there and the looks they got? It was AWESOME. SO MUCH FUN! .. Rach and I did 'Sweet Transvestite' and Lani and I did 'Hotel California' (which some guys did a striptease to) and 'Wanted Dead or Alive' because yeah, Bon Jovi IS cool... on occasion.

Okay, so... down here, they have built in a day for kids to have in case of SNOW. Well, the only day there was snow was already a day off for the kids for a teacher in-service day. So, the kids have a half day today, no school tomorrow, no school MONDAY...

What the HELL?

Nevertheless, I'm a big fat procrastinator. And I'm buckling down. So, here's the deal.

NO COMPUTER TIME FOR ME.

I know, right?

I'm going to accomplish a lot this weekend. Memorial Day weekend is going to be SPRING CLEANING. Everything is going to be DONE. Going to spend time with Kyle and... yeah. The dog? Yeah. And hopefully next week, I'll have that JOB. And... that's that.

So... yeah. Four days of hardcore awayness from the computer, kiddies. <3 (... or, you know... ish)

So, I have a meeting with the school this afternoon. I knew Rach was gonna hafta work and I figured that Cher was gonna be working, so... yeah. Wish me luck. I just really don't want to do that 'get frustrated and to avoid saying/doing something I shouldn't I start crying' thing. Cher does it, too. OH, those people make me SO ANGRY. Grr.

Situation:

Kyle's running in the hall on his way back from lunch yesterday. Gets caught. Has to be on Step 1. Which means he has to sit in a classroom (not the one he was going to) for 5-10 minutes. When that's over? He's sent to class WITHOUT a pass so he gets in trouble for being tardy.

Now, I must be seeing this wrong because:

Running = Consequence
Consequence = ... more trouble?


If my son is in trouble and pays the price for it, he should then be DONE with consequences and sent to class free and clear to start with a fresh slate. Not have to pay the price AGAIN. Of COURSE he's going to think that's not fair. I think that that's not fair.

Yesterday, like I said, Rachael and Kyle and I went to [Woodland Park Zoo]. We got there about 12:45pm only to find that the zoo itself closes at... 4pm. Eh, winter hours. LOL

That's okay. Because, although the weather guys said that it was going to be 55? I think they lied. And it was BEAUTIFUL!SUNNY, so we put the top down on the way up there (about an hour's drive) and froze poor Kyle out of the backseat. On the way, we stopped at [Dick's], a Seattle staple for 'a day out on the town'. Or, for that matter, a NIGHT out on the town. Shiiiiiiit, prom people go there. EVERYONE goes to Dick's. Hell, 'My Posse's on Broadway'? Lyrics mention Dick's. :D So, after hitting the Dick's on Broadway, we finally made it to the Zoo.

All in all, a VERY fun day and I slept REALLY well. It's now 11am and Kyle is STILL trying to be asleep. Eeeesh. Boy, get UP. We gots us some PLANS. *pokes*
