Over on ONTD on LJ, there was a post talking about classic movies. And this was said:

A survey suggests 58% of men and 38% of women lie about having seen classic films.

They go on to tell how to bluff your way through having not seen:

1) The Godfather
2) Taxi Driver
3) Gone with the Wind
4) It's a Wonderful Life
5) The Great Escape
6) Citizen Kane

WHY!? OMG WHY?! SEE. THESE. MOVIES.

And the COMMENTS. People having not seen these movies say things like, "And I never would. Looks so boring." People hating on The Godfather... I swear, not starting arguments was SO HARD.

Someone commented and said, "Some Like It Hot, North by Northwest, Bringing Up Baby, and The Maltese Falcon are my faves. Oh, and On The Waterfront. (Plus, you know, The Godfather.)"

I wanted to reach through the computer and hug them. :D

Also, I didn't realize it until this last time watching through Star Trek, but guys!

So, as I'm leaving the theater, the geeks that had been sitting behind me (after being MUY IMPRESSED with my knowledge on casting) were following me out and talking about T:SCC and I knew enough to go, "Oh, yeah, and new Terminator..." and there was geekage about that, and they were shocked I knew so much. :D

AND THEN, outside one says to another, "No! Only the pilot dies in Serenity. Wash." And I said, "Well, no, Book dies, too. And Mr. Universe." And once they were done being shocked over my knowledge (ONCE AGAIN), the guy says, "Mr. Universe doesn't count. He had to have a robot girlfriend."

So I say to him, "You came to the movies with two of your guy friends. Where's your girl?" And he says to me:

"I don't need one. I got right and left." and holds up his hands. His friends were embarrassed, right? Not me. I was laughing so hard.

I said, "Cannot be mad at the honesty. That's really fantastic."

Seriously. Guy wasn't bad looking AND he just... put that out there. I laughed most of the way home.

So, I'm watching Legend with Kyle (he's never seen it, deprived childhood that he's had), and we're just plodding along through it and then...

So, I went with Cher and a bunch of Cher's friends to see Twilight. It was good times.

We opted to go at 11am, mostly because the freaks that went a midnight (Jo, Eric) would be asleep and other people would be working and younger people would should be in school, yadda. For the first show, a lot of teenies had skipped and were there with their parents. They were a hoot.

For the second show peeps, we just got to sit. As for a review...

I love love LOVE taking showers at my sister's place. Why? Because she has all the fun, UBER girly stuff in her shower. If it's new on the market (and a gadget for the shower), she has it. Plus, all the best lotions, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, whatever. Also? When she messages me and says, "GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW?" It's the perfect excuse. Especially if I still don't get there until I was originally planning.

Add to that, there was no way I was driving over there on leather seats, top down on Lucy or not AFTER taking a shower. It's 91 degrees and I was GRODY. Psh. I just packed a bag and took one once I got here. THEN we went to the grocery store. YUM.

She's having a Grease party. You know, Grease is the word, and all. :D Lani's coming and Nicole is already here and Jenni's coming and Rach is not. :( Woe.

Rach & Cher SHOULD be even after this, though: Cher didn't go to Rach's birthday party and now Rach didn't go to Cher's summer blowout. Deal? Deal.

Another shower followed by a stint in the jacuzzi tub equalled a little bit of relief, but eh. I still feel so queasy. :-/ That's just gonna be that, apparently.

Muse-wise: Shan's game is still going great. The rest of them, it's a lil prompt here and a lil prompt there just to keep them up and running, but other than that, eh. I mean, Antigone has the propensity to still be the loudest, but I don't want to RP with anyone when it comes to her. Her history is too... complicated. Hattie and Kitt are still the cutest thing this side of the Rockies and after watching the extended stuff with BSG... well, THOSE muses are just SCREAMING. :D In a good way, of course.

And then, it's the personal stuffs... like, ( ZOMGBIRTHDAYS! )

So, clearly, chocolate (which I don't like and don't eat much of anyway) is a migraine trigger for me, because ohmygod ow. Lesson learned.

Had a meeting this morning that went really well. I'm happy with the outcome. Also, my phone problem was fixed for the most part. Turns out the lady signed me up for the 900 minute plan when for 40 bucks more, the unlimited minutes plan was what I had asked for. Oy. ELEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS LATER, holy shit.

Also, watched Space Camp this morning and War Games this afternoon. Um, yeah. Space Camp reminds me of my own childhood and War Games STILL gives me chills. Only this time, while watching it? I realized that I KNEW ONE OF THE GUYS IN IT! Like, I recognized him. From Stargate SG-1. For those keeping score, the friend he goes to see about Falken's printout, Jim? Yeah, Nerus - Ba'al's buddy. Also played Bailey Pruitt in Mystery, Alaska AND the Major who shoots himself in Dances with Wolves.

Serious hand --> forehead moment. It all came in a WHAM moment. I love those. :D

... onto RP thangs.

When it comes to RP/Writings and thangs, I'm just so not in the mood. I mean, I have Shan in a game somewhere and that's fun, and I'm doing lil prompts here and there that I pick up from different comms, but other than that, eh.

I told Rach like, months ago when I first put everyone on hiatus that I was done 'begging' for it and really, I guess that's what it boils down to. I'm not feeling it and really, no one else is. I don't blame them. Heh. Maybe some other time.
