It's not Obsession

Went to El Toro's for chips, salsa and karoke and WOW, okay. So, not that I ever sound SUPER amazing, but that microphone made me sound pretty damn awesome. I sang 'Let it Be', 'Desperado' and 'Hotel California', mostly because um, those are the songs that I CAN sing well. And after I finish 'Let it Be', the DJ says, "Beautiful, no one has ever sung that before". :D Rach finished with this rendition of Sin Wagon that made people cheer and I was like "EEEEE!". SO MUCH FUN!

Of course, the requisite dancing of the Electric Slide and then we learned the Cupid Shuffle which was fantastic enough but then Rachael goes to get dressed this morning and turns on the bathroom radio as usual and what's playing on the station? CUPID SHUFFLE. We danced. Her in the hall, me in the front room.

All in all, a pretty good night, except where I STILL have those two apps to finish for Sparta and it was one of those 'ooh, suddenly SOTIREDOMG' when we got back last night. <3

Oh. And my bitch-ass sister was all, "About my work party-" and stuff yesterday and I said, "Do you WANT someone to go in my place?" And she says, "NO! No, Mary, no..." And THEN last night, "How about we go see a movie next weekend?" And I'm saying, "SURE, what should we see?" and THINKING, "Uh HUH!" because she follows that up with, "So how mad WOULD you be if I canceled on you?"

David brotherpersonthing just came back from Marine bootcamp and proposed to his girlfriend and so she hasn't seen him in a few months. EH, whatev. That's like an hour and some odd drive for some food and a fixed watermelon eating contest. <3 I'm not THAT ticked. Plus, I know she reads this. Bitch.

I love love LOVE taking showers at my sister's place. Why? Because she has all the fun, UBER girly stuff in her shower. If it's new on the market (and a gadget for the shower), she has it. Plus, all the best lotions, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, whatever. Also? When she messages me and says, "GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW?" It's the perfect excuse. Especially if I still don't get there until I was originally planning.

Add to that, there was no way I was driving over there on leather seats, top down on Lucy or not AFTER taking a shower. It's 91 degrees and I was GRODY. Psh. I just packed a bag and took one once I got here. THEN we went to the grocery store. YUM.

She's having a Grease party. You know, Grease is the word, and all. :D Lani's coming and Nicole is already here and Jenni's coming and Rach is not. :( Woe.

Rach & Cher SHOULD be even after this, though: Cher didn't go to Rach's birthday party and now Rach didn't go to Cher's summer blowout. Deal? Deal.

So, yesterday Kyle and I went and saw Hancock, went to dinner with Rach (where Rachael gave him his Pokemon board game -like Yahtzee) and picked out his video game present at the mall. Today we go see Cher. :D All in all, I think he'd say it was a pretty good birthday.

Today, though, is TARA'S birthday, so happy birthday! :D *MWAH*

So when my sister said, "Do you wanna go to this Mariners' game?" I said, "ZOMG!YES" and fell over myself to get out the door.

And that's where I was last night. Yelling, "RAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUL" and shit along with the rest of the 16k people there.

Saw my sister *smooches*, saw Rach *smooches*, did laundry, had dinner and then?

Got into the jacuzzi tub with a glass of wine. Oooh, bubbles.

Aaaaaaand I thought. Then? I thought some more. And was reminded of certain things and thought some more.

Now, I'm going to bed so I don't THINK anymore.

But all things being equal? The simplest decisions are never the easiest.

Rachael: "This is why you called me? To tell me about your brain tumor?"

Lodi: "Get that checked out and THEN call me back."

Cher: "Can I call you on my way home from work?"

Meredith: "Go lay down." (To be fair, I didn't tell Meredith about my brain tumor. I simply told her my migraine had lasted a week)

Rachael had this idea the other week, but then never acted on it, so I thought I'd work on mine. Here it is:

⊗ I was born in Yakima, Washington on July 18, 1977. I'm definitely a Cancer and, as I was born in the year of the Snake, I am definitely one of those, too.

⊗ The first poem I memorized was 'Tree House' by Shel Silverstein. The second was 'Paul Revere's Ride' by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Both were in the 4th grade and solidified my love for poetry.

⊗ Robert Frost is my favorite poet. 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening' is one of my favorites, and I love it's use in Telefon. In fact, it's use made me practically giddy over the movie.

⊗ Until I met Phedra Martin in kindergarten, I'd never met a black person. Her father was black, her mother was from India. She was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen and I wanted her to be my best friend. She and I were best friends until I moved away before the fifth grade and kept in more or less 'regular' contact until I had my first child.

⊗ We moved into the house on 64th the day I turned 10. Krissy Zebell turned 10 the day before. She thought she was way cooler than I was. We were never QUITE friends, but we lived too close to be enemies.

Another shower followed by a stint in the jacuzzi tub equalled a little bit of relief, but eh. I still feel so queasy. :-/ That's just gonna be that, apparently.

Muse-wise: Shan's game is still going great. The rest of them, it's a lil prompt here and a lil prompt there just to keep them up and running, but other than that, eh. I mean, Antigone has the propensity to still be the loudest, but I don't want to RP with anyone when it comes to her. Her history is too... complicated. Hattie and Kitt are still the cutest thing this side of the Rockies and after watching the extended stuff with BSG... well, THOSE muses are just SCREAMING. :D In a good way, of course.

And then, it's the personal stuffs... like, ( ZOMGBIRTHDAYS! )

I guess Rachael got this kick-ass Easter basket. Like, all kinds of candy and gift cards... man, y0. I want HER Daddy to be MY Daddy. Oh, shit. Would LJ think we were the same again?!

Me? My SISTER made me an Easter basket. I got a lil stuffed Darth Vader. *hee* She says they didn't have an Emperor. She knows that I have this wicked nasty crush on him. Talk about crushes that are seriously inappropriate? Who has a crush on [[THIS GUY]]!? Only me. Thankssomuch. :D No shame here!

Ky has enough candy to make himself ill for several weeks and THAT'LL be fun. :-/ Eeeesh. Jackson didn't get an Easter basket, but he DID get Rice Cereal w/Bananas for breakfast. I don't think he knew the difference.

I made breakfast for the rest of the crew: Eggs (minus the amniotic SAC - thanks so much, bitchesyouknowwhoyouare), bacon, sourdough toast, and this OMGSOGOOD raspberry pudding cake. YUMMY! Then we dyed eggs and put on The Ten Commandments. OH MOSESMOSES! From here, I'll start dinner (Ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, radishes/green onions and the like). Ah, Easter. FUN TIMES!

So, last night, I headed over to my sister's and we had a grand time watching Enchanted. Over the course of like... five hours. It was pretty crazy.

Plus, there was some good old-fashioned 'smack the sister' which we hadn't done in, no joke, years. Before Mom died. And so THAT was fun. It started when I smacked her on the arm and left and OMG!WELT. I felt horrible, but my kinky sister wanted ones to match all up her arm. So then I pinched her leg, she slapped my hand and OH, it was on.

We're so silly.

And then the baby was sick. Cher had never done rectal temps before and was horrified that an inch was just going to go whoop!up the butt. Jackson didn't mind, of course, just lay there and giggled. David freaked out. Said his baby had been 'violated'. Also pretty funny.

Then home and wow, I've been up early and to bed early recently. Dunno why. But there it is.
